The musuem is dedicated to a man who became a symbol of the struggle for freedom and self-determination after being executed in Mantua in 1810.
The Sonnabend Gallery in Mantua has recently been inaugurated and will remain permanently at the Palazzo della Ragione for over 10 years. The exceptional collection offers an overview of modern American and European art from the 1960s to the 2000s, in the magnificent medieval setting of the Palazzo della Ragione.
